Where To Go For Your Session

As a Harrisburg PA photographer, I love it when opportunities come along to schedule photography sessions in unique places.   I love to find the perfect location for your family to be photographed.  I always ask my clients one important question.  “How do you want to be remembered?”  I get so excited to have the opportunity to work with you and your children.

Picking A Location

With so many location options to choose from, sometimes my clients have a tough time trying to decide on the perfect place for their senior pictures. Pennsylvania is so beautiful and has a wide range of location options: Urban, Garden, High Mountains, Country, Natural, Rustic, Lakes, Waterfalls… The variety just doesn’t quit. Narrowing it down to just one location is almost impossible. So, when I work with clients who have such unique taste, I make them feel special and let them have their own unique experience!  I hope you all look back one day and have such fond memories of your sessions with me.  You are all so near and dear to my heart and I will cherish the time I got to spend with you and your growing families over the years!

What’s Your Vision?

Our family photography sessions are designed around each of our clients. It’s about bringing your vision to life.  We provide a one-of-a-kind session that perfectly captures this monumental moment in yours and your children’s lives. That’s what being freezing time is all about!  For more info, please visit my Children & Family Photography Page.

Newborn Photography

Isabella’s parents were looking Newborn Photography near me when they decided to search on Google.  They found Tisha Landrum Photography and were instantly in love with my style.  My studio is located in Camp Hill, PA near the Camp Hill Mall.

Newborn Photography

Isabella’s ‘s newborn photography was done within 7-14 days after her birth.  Newborn Photography Sessions last 3-6 hours depending on the baby, I like to work on their schedule. I prefer the baby to be no older than 14 days, to capture those sleepy poses. However, if that is not possible we can absolutely do it a little later. These photos sessions are done at my home studio.  I have lots of props, hats, etc… If you’d like to do something else we can decide at the time of your consultation. We will also discuss the feel you want for your babies first photos and customize them to fit your home.

The In Person Consultation is an important part of your custom portrait experience.  Since each session is very custom I prefer to meet and discuss things in person.  I can get a feel for what you had in mind for your professional portraits and how you would like me to portray you. I’d love to have you and you over for coffee. I find that’s the very best way to talk through what you are looking for.  During your in person consultation you’ll get a sense of what I offer, and what to expect.

Your Newborn Portrait Session

Baby Portrait sessions take place at my residential studio in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. I work with controlled studio lighting and a wonderful selection of custom props and set designs. Wether working in the studio or on location I try to keep a calm and relaxed environment for my clients where you will comfortable with me while I work to  create a look that is timeless and sophisticated. Newborn photo sessions can be captured  in my Camp Hill, PA home studio only. At the end of your session, we will book a second date for you to come back to my residential studio for the viewing and ordering session. The viewing and ordering session will be an exciting and personal experience.

                     Viewing & Ordering Appointment

This is the best part! The Viewing & Ordering Appointment is the time when you get to see all the hard work of the pre-session consultation and our session planning pay off. After your session, I will carefully select the best images for the viewing session. I will compare images and narrow down to the best based on facial expressions, posing, lighting and sharpness.  The viewing session will be an exciting, sometimes emotional and personal experience.

Your images are projected onto a large flat screen tv.  I will help you select your favorite images and make final decisions on what will look best with your home decor and with your portrait goals. You will be able to touch and feel the products we offer and see what your images will look like projected onto the walls of your own home using our wall gallery software. I will go over product details and pricing and help you create a beautiful display of your images. I’ll show you actual size and pair images together for a wall portrait, gallery wrap, or heirloom album.

Central Pa Child Photographer

This little darling’s mom is a Central Pa Child Photographer (ME!).  Ethan is turning into quite the pro!  He should be by now because of how many times he’s been in front of my camera. The fact that our dog Ty loves posing for pictures too just makes it that much more fun.  I love thinking of creative ways to capture them together.  Every time I look at these photos I know they will definitely make me smile.   This time I decide on a Christmas Peaky Blinders theme.

Children’s Portrait Sessions

As a Central Pa Child Photographer I take much pride in offering Studio Portrait sessions. I love children’s photography if you know me personally the passion I have for children really shows! I have one little boy myself. Watching & capturing him grow through the years is something I will forever cherish. That love and pure innocence of my baby boy is something I love to capture for my clients for their own children. I try to photograph Ethan at Christmas every year so I can have these photos as memories as he grows.  Ethan loves having the camera all to himself!

Connecting with your child

A few minutes after meeting your child I try to get them to open up.  I will sometimes enlist some help from my trusted sidekick (my son Ethan).   I love that I have that power to capture these beautiful expressions for mom’s & dad’s.  Little smirks and shy smiles are so sweet and innocent. That is what I want to capture with my portrait photography. I try not to pose too much and let your child behave in their way. I simply allow them to be the sweet, perfect, child that they are because that is how you will want to remember them.

Tell your story with me

I am your story teller. I am here to capture the story of your children, the first few days when he/she is sleepy, squishy and curling up as if still in the womb. The first smile, flaky skin, wispy hair, wrinkly toes, fuzzy little shoulders and sweet button nose. When they take their first steps, the way they look up at you.  All the beautiful smiles & adorable faces.

These are your memories that have only just begun. It is my passion to create beautiful and timeless images of your perfect children. Each and every one is a complete inspiration.

Thank you for stopping by! I am a Central Pa Child Photographer. Tisha Landrum Photography is located in Camp Hill, PA.  I would like to personally welcome you to my blog. Camp Hill Pa Baby Photographer

Sullivan’s one year cake smash portrait session done by a Camp Hill PA Baby Photographer, Tisha Landrum .  This Camp Hill PA baby photographer specializes in first year milestones.  Tisha Landrum photography is located in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.  Sullivan was wearing an adorable hand made outfit from Sew Darn Cute.  You can also find her on Facebook.  Sullivan’s Cake was a gluten free cake from the Pennsylvania Bakery.Baby Photographer In Camp Hill Photographing Families At Home Baby Photographer In Camp Hill Photographing First Birthday At Home Baby Photographer In Camp Hill Photographing First Birthday Cake Smash Baby Photographer In Camp Hill Photographing First Birthday Cake Smash Baby Photographer In Camp Hill Photographing First Birthday At Home Baby Photographer In Camp Hill Photographing First Birthday At Home Baby Photographer In Camp Hill PA Photographing First Birthday At Home Baby Photographer In Camp Hill Photographing Families At Home Baby Photographer In Camp Hill Photographing Families At Home Baby Photographer In Camp Hill Photographing Families At Home Baby Photographer In Camp Hill Photographing Families At Home

During the first year of life, your baby will grow and develop at an amazing speed. Her/His weight will double by 5 to 6 months, and triple by her/his first birthday. And she/he is constantly learning.  Documenting these milestones with a local professional photographer will ensure that you have all the adorable, soft, squishy cuteness frozen in time for you to cherish for years to come.

What Are The Milestones?

Your baby will have many major achievements during the first year.  These achievements are called developmental milestones.  These important first year milestones include rolling over, sitting up, standing and possibly walking.

Smiling & Laughing

By around 2 months of age, your baby will smile in response to you! The sound of your voice or the sight of your face is often all it takes to trigger your baby’s irresistible grin.  By 4 months, you can look forward to another sound, possibly the sweetest you’ll ever hear — your baby’s laughter. The best part is how easily a baby laughs. Silly faces, tickling, and peek-a-boo are usually more than enough to set off lots of squeals and giggles.

Sitting Up

How different the world looks when you’re not stuck on your belly! Around 5 or 6 months, most babies can sit up with support — either by resting on their hands in front of them or by leaning on pillows or furniture. Babies can usually sit alone steadily by 7-9 months.

Crawling

If you have an 8-month-old, you may want to put your gym membership on hold. You’re about to get plenty of exercise chasing your suddenly mobile baby around the house. By 9 months, most babies crawl using both hands and feet, though some babies never crawl, preferring to creep or wriggle instead. Crawling is not an essential baby milestone, and infants who choose to scoot or creep still tend to reach other milestones on schedule.

Eating Finger Food

Just when spoon-feeding begins to lose its luster, babies are ready to feed themselves. Between 9-12 months, babies develop better control over their hands and fingers, making it easier to grab small objects — like finger foods! Unfortunately, babies this age love to explore taste and texture, so food is not the only thing they’ll try to pop into their mouths. Environmental safety should, therefore, become a big parental concern at this age.Babies Grow Up So Fast

It is just so important you don’t miss a beat when it comes to finding your first year milestones photographer.  Tisha Landrum is committed to helping you capture all these precious moments and more.  The first year of your babies life goes by so quickly.  Don’t miss out on making special memories and preserving them!

Why You Should Stop Being Afraid of the Camera

Do you know why you should stop being afraid of the Camera?  Too often, people say the last time they had their portraits taken was for their senior photos in high school. Most people have changed a lot since they were 17 or 18, but there are years and decades that remain uncaptured, lost to time.

Why are so many of us so reluctant to step in front of the camera? For many parents, they would rather focus on capturing memories of their children, and with cell phone cameras, it’s easier to take photos of the kids than to include themselves.

For others, it’s concern about how they look—a fear that they’ve gained too much weight, that they don’t know how to smile, that they will look less put-together than they wish they were.  Regardless of the reason, it’s time to stop telling everyone why you should stop being afraid of the camera and show the world the strong, amazing person you are.  Take it from me, Camp Hill’s best baby photographer.  Check out my instagram & facebook for more tips.

Do it for your loved ones.

Have you ever been to a funeral where all the photos of the person who had passed were decades old, where there no images that captured who they were in the years before their death?Best Camp Hill Newborn Photographer Number One Camp Hill Newborn Photographer Best Camp Hill Baby Photographer

Now, imagine your own funeral. It may sound morbid, but bear with me. What photos will your friends and family have to show of you? Will they be able to look back on your entire life, watching you mature and remembering cherished memories? Or will they only have a few cell phone photos snapped here and there on the rare occasions when they could capture you before you got away from the camera?

You may not want photos of yourself, but I guarantee you that your loved ones do. They will want to remember your smile, your humor, and every moment they spent with you. And they certainly won’t be thinking about your wrinkles or your weight or any of the things that stop you from having your photo taken.

Do it for yourself.

“I don’t need to have my photos taken. I’d rather have photos of my kids. I’m just not photogenic, and it will feel like money wasted.”  Sometimes we need someone else to tell us we’re beautiful before we can really believe it—someone with an outside perspective who doesn’t pay so much attention to the flaws that we focus on when we look in the mirror.Best Camp Hill Child Photographer Best Camp Hill Child Photographer

A professional portrait session allows you to see yourself in a whole new light. You may snap a few selfies of yourself and think you look awful. But a professional will see the beauty you don’t see. They’ll know how to light and pose you and how to produce images that you will love. Seeing how glamorous you look in your portraits can help you feel glamorous, and that’s a confidence boost we could all use!

Do it for your kids.

Regardless of how much you love your own body and appearance, chances are you want your kids to love themselves, to feel confident as they grow and move about in the world.  But here’s the thing: children pay more attention to what you do than what you say. You can tell them to love themselves all day, but if they see how you avoid having photos of yourself and how you frown at your reflection, they may internalize those feelings and start to see flaws in their own appearances as well.Best Camp Hill Child Photographer Best Camp Hill Child Photographer Best Camp Hill Child Photographer Best Camp Hill Child Photographer

Show self-love by example. Bring them along to your portrait session and make it a family event! You can all be glamorous together and have beautiful images to look back on and enjoy for years to come.

It’s easy to avoid having your photo taken, to say you’ll get professional images made when you’ve lost 20 pounds or spent more time working out. But one day, you may have no photos to show for the life you’ve lived, no way to remember how you’ve changed, grown, struggled, and thrived. You deserve to celebrate each day of your life, to show the world, your loved ones, and yourself just how strong you are.  Why You Should Stop Being Afraid of the Camera… just because I said so. Take it from me.  Click here to learn more about booking a portrait session with me.

American Gothic Portrait

Check out this epic American Gothic Portrait of Chris & Julie Lowe at Frydek Heritage Farm In Sealy, Texas.  How awesome are their Halloween costumes!!  How many times have you wanted to take a family photo, maybe for your Christmas cards, and then simply been too busy? Life gets hectic, and you find you don’t have time to wrangle all the kids and sit everyone down for a proper photo.

Or maybe you have albums full of photos of your kids, but none with you and your spouse in them because one of you is always taking the pictures.

This is where a professional family photo shoot is a great idea. Instead of worrying about taking a photo yourself, you can let a professional shoot, edit, and even print the photos, providing you with memories to cherish for the rest of your life.

Capture changes in your family.

From first steps to braces to high school, as your kids grow up, you don’t want to miss a moment. Having an annual family photo taken allows you to document all the changes in your family, whether it’s a new addition or a rapidly growing child. Professional family photos will be something you and your children can look back on for years to come.

Create art for your home.

What better way to decorate your home or office than with beautiful photos of the ones you love? This American Gothic Portrait is an idea that Julie & Chris had in mind to do since they bought the Frydek Heritage Farm a few years back.  Thank goodness their cousin is a professional photographer and could get the job done! You may have plenty of photos of your kids snapped on your cell phone and even some selfies of the whole family, but those are hardly the kind of pictures you want blown up on canvas and hanging above the fireplace. A professional family photo shoot helps you ensure that everyone will be in the photo, looking their best.

Start a tradition.

Whether you grew up taking family photos or not, it’s a great tradition to start with your family. Someday your grandchildren and maybe even their children will look back on your family photos, so it’s important to have quality, professional images for future generations to enjoy. And once you start the tradition of taking family photos each year, your children can continue it when they have families of their own. Best Camp Hill Portrait Photographer Best Camp Hill Portrait Photographer

Eliminate the stress of taking your own photos.

Instead of trying to organize and shoot a family photo yourself, a professional can do the work for you. Professional photographers work frequently with families and children and will know how to keep your kids happy and get them to pose. Even better, they can often help with printing the photos, so you know you’re getting the best quality images of your family.

Maybe your not looking for something quite unique as an American Gothic Portrait for Halloween but, next time you’re thinking about how much you need an updated family photo, consider scheduling a session with a professional photographer—and make it a tradition that your family can enjoy for years to come.
