Father’s Day Family Photos

When it comes to family photos I love being creative and spontaneous!  David & I decided to take our son (Ethan) to William’s Grove Flea Market  in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Sunday just to look around.  David suggested I bring my camera and well, I’m so glad I did.  When we were getting ready to leave we saw this beautiful red 1958 Bel Air sitting in the lot and as we walked by I asked the man sitting in it if we could take some pictures in his car.  He immediately said yes, which I thought was extremely generous and really cool.  Doug at William's Grove Flea Market Mechanicsburg pa Dillsburg pa Antique 1958 Bel Air outdoor photographyWe learned his name was Doug, and i offered to photograph him with is snazzy car too.  He was into it.  Very, very cool.  I have always had a thing for antiques wether it be furniture, nik-nacks, old treasures or cars I think old things have such a classic look to them.

I’m so over the moon about the opportunity we had to make such a special memory for my Son & his Daddy.  The lifestyle images I captured of the two of them in this 1958 Bel Air will be definite keep-sakes for us for years to come!  Father’s Day is only a few weeks away and I wanted to get some cute “Daddy & Son” photographs for some extra wall space I just cleared out in the living room.  They will make a good addition to our growing collection of family photos.  I can’t wait to print and hang these images so I can look at them every day.

Madalyn spring photo session mechanicsburg pennsylvania flowers mother's day easter cherry blossoms

Spring has officially sprung here in Camp Hill, PA which means it’s time for a spring photo session! Spring is my absolute favorite time to photograph. The flowers are in full bloom, golden hour is absolutely beautiful and the weather is finally warming up. This year, I am looking forward to working with some exceptional wedding couples and I can not wait to see all their dreams come to reality on their big day. I have my first wedding coming up this weekend!

In the mean time I’ve been enjoying working with all the Moms and Dads to create beautiful memories for them with their children for Mother’s and Father’s day. Having Madalyn and Karissa as my models for their cherry blossom spring photo session was a sheer delight.  We had SO much fun working it to create these beautiful images!  Madalyn was being her silly self which made for some cute candids.  I just love the spontaneity that comes along with being a child. These cherry blossom trees located in Mechanicsburg, PA served as a rich and stunning backdrop for these portraits.  I’m so excited to share this session with you. Enjoy some of my favorite images of Madalyn and her beautiful Mama!

Madalyn Easter studio photography session with bunny child photographer

Children’s photography is probably my favorite of all the avenues of photography I dabble in.  I have been photographing kids from small to big with live animals for their easter portraits for about 4 years now.  Every year I have different animals.  I really love getting those genuine smiles for my camera and what better way to do it then with a real live Easter Bunny!

Beware…super cute kiddos right below!  I had the pleasure of photographing a great group of children in my home studio in Camp Hill, PA for Easter this year I loved how adorable every one of their photos turned out!!  I got to try out my new white washed wood backdrop and man did it pop! Gum ball the bunny was quite amusing for the kids, she truly is a natural in front of the camera.  Here are a few of my favorites from their sessions!
