A Camp Hill Newborn Photographer decided to take on some new and exciting challenges during the 2020 quarantine.
When Covid Hit
As a Camp Hill Newborn Photographer my job is pretty amazing. I get to cuddle and snuggle newborn babies on a pretty regular basis. Who wouldn’t love that! When Covid-19 hit in March & I was forced to close my doors to all my clients. I have to say I was pretty devastated. I had to come up with some pretty creative ways to keep myself occupied. That’s when I decided to start doing composite photography of my son.
What is a Composite?
What is a Composite you ask? Let me tell you… When photographers say “composite” – they refer to an image that was constructed from two or more different photos. Most composites these days are done by layering images one on top of one another and then masking out the unwanted pieces using different methods.
Endless Possibilities
Dare to dream all the possibilities of using photographs in this way! Wow!! I thought if I knew how to do this the possibilities are endless. So away I went. It started with taking a photo of Ethan in the bath tub. I used a face in the “fishbowl” composite & added some bubbles & fish. I wanted to make it look like he really had an upside down fishbowl on his head. It turned out pretty awesome! I was hooked. I tried my hand at having Ethan & his friend riding a dinosaur. Back In Business
I know this helped me get through the lockdown emotionally & mentally. It kept my mind off things. Hope you enjoyed seeing some of these fun images.
