  • Your local Camp Hill photographer

I have always felt that photography was my calling.  I’ve known that this is what I’m destined to do since I was a kid with my first camera.  I loved capturing all of my adventures traveling to Texas to visit family, my friends, important talent shows & birthday parties.  I always came home and had the photos printed right away so I could insert them into my newest photo album. (I still have ALL of them today!)

I have a degree in photography & I have 15 years of experience in photographing babies.  I used to work for the company called “Silver Sands Photography” that came to your home to photograph your newborn baby after they were born! That was my first job in my field.  I also have 10 years of experience photographing weddings & families all over Pennsylvania & in other states like Maryland & Texas. Now I’m mainly a Camp Hill photographer who focuses on family photography, maternity photos, newborn sessions, and high school senior pictures.

I truly believe my passion of photography is a gift & that this is the talent that I’ve been given to share with you.

Custom Portrait Photography For Your Walls

What To Expect From Start to Finish

When you hire Tisha, a Camp Hill photographer, I want you to start by thinking about what your goal is for your portraits. I truly believe that the best place for your portraits is beautifully printed on the highest quality materials for you to display in your home and enjoy every day, not sitting on hard drive and forgotten.  So, with that in mind, what are your hopes and dreams for your session? What is it about your children, or wedding that you would like to remember in 20 years? And how do you want to remember it? Is it in an album that can be handed down from generation to generation? Or a wall portrait that will make you smile when you pass by it every day? Or maybe it is a collection of images arranged in a wall gallery that highlights your growing family year after year?  Whichever way you choose to display your images, we begin with the end in mind. Before we shoot any images, we create a plan for how they will be displayed in your home. Creating a plan and shooting for that plan results in a session that makes magic and is the recipe for a successful portrait process every single time.

The Camp Hill Photographer Experience – The Guide

One of the things I love about being a Camp Hill photographer is helping families not only capture memories, but preserve them — and preservation means printing. I understand that sometimes it can be overwhelming to pick out what will work best for your home, gifts for relatives, or an album, so I am there to help you figure out what will work best for you. My favorite part of working with you is getting to see your reaction in person when you see their images for the first time.

I’ve put together a short guide to help you prepare for your viewing & ordering session — if you have a question that isn’t answered in the guide, as always, feel free to get in touch.

When do we get to see our images?

You will get to see your images at your Viewing & Ordering session, which generally takes place 1-2 weeks after your portrait session (we’ll schedule a time for this during your session).

Do I need to do anything to prepare?

When hiring a Camp Hill photographer, the most helpful thing you can do to prepare is to think about what you might want to do with your images — generally each client picks their heirloom piece(s) of wall art, album (or both), and then picks their add-ons (gifts for relatives, smaller prints for the office, digital files, etc).  If you have a good idea of what you might want to do with the images at the start of the Viewing session, it will help streamline the process. I highly encourage you to take the time to make a list of relatives you want to get prints for before our meeting that way you don’t forget anyone!

What happens at the Viewing & Ordering session?

The Viewing & Ordering session takes place at the studio. I’ll have samples of all of the different kinds of print products I offer (mounted wall art, canvas galleries, albums, display boxes, etc). We’ll sit down, and I’ll show you all the final images from your portrait session in a slideshow — this gives you a good overview of the session.

At this point, don’t worry too much about specifics — just sit back and relax and enjoy! After the slideshow, we’ll talk about your initial thoughts — what would you like to do with these images? If you have a clear idea of what you’re interested in, we can then go through the images one by one with that in mind — go through once to pick your wall art, another time to pick your gift prints for Grandma, etc. If you’re not sure yet, that’s fine too! We’ll go through and put the images into one of three “buckets” — Yes, No, Maybe.

Once we have the initial sort done, we can then see how many images we’re looking at and talk about what might make the most sense to do with them, and do further sorting from there. Once you’ve picked your products and images, I’ll go over what we’ve discussed to make sure I’ve gotten it down just as you want it, and then I’ll put together your order form —  when all that is done, you will pay for your images (check, cash, or credit card) to finalize the order.

Who should attend the Viewing & Ordering Session?

All of the  financial decision-makers should attend — usually this means both spouses, but each family has their own way of doing things, and if you are comfortable with one person making these decisions on their own, that is your prerogative. Generally it’s easiest to have this meeting without children present, especially very young children, but as a mom myself I absolutely understand if you need to bring them — if you can, please bring a favorite toy or two, or let me know if you allow your child screen time and I can set up something to keep them occupied while we talk.
